Observation of World Nature Conservation Day 2018

Observation of World Nature Conservation Day 2018

World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on 28 July to remind humankind about the importance of nature and the need to protect it. The day is marked globally to spread awareness about the best practices to protect the natural resources. The MAC nature club members organized a seminar and poster competition on the topic ‘Biotechnology for Sustainable development’.

Environment Day Celebration

Environment Day Celebration (5th June 2017)

Biotechnology Association, OPERON, observed World Environment Day 2017. Our manager inaugurated the environment day celebration activities by planting a sapling in our herbal garden. The  Manager spoke about the importance of nature conservation and appreciated and motivated the students for their contribution to nature. The principal, Vice-principal, Bursar, and Heads of various departments delivered messages on the occasion. Essay Writing and Poster making competitions were conducted based on the theme ‘Connecting People to nature. The following students are awarded a certificate of merits and Cash prize.

Institutional Visit KFRI

INSTITUTIONAL VISIT KFRI - REPORT

Institutional visit is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason behind this- it lets student to know things practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from academic point of view. Main aim institutional visit is to provide an exposure to students about practical working environment. They also provide students a good opportunity to gain full awareness about institutional practices.

A team of 21 students and 3 faculty members visited KFRI (Kerala Forest Research Institute) Peechi, Palakkad on 25th August 2017. The visit was a part of their curriculum for experiential learning. During the visit the students are interacted with head of the departments and other scientist & staff of the institute.
