Mar Augusthinose College is committed to providing a safe academic and working environment to all the students especially its girl Mar Augusthinose College, Ramapuram 85 students and women employees. As per the guidelines of UGC and the Supreme Court an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell has been established by the College to provide a healthy and congenial environment to the staff and students so that women are not subjected to gender-specific discrimination or sexual harassment. What constitutes harassment? Any unwelcome sexually determined behaviour- physical, verbal or any other form- which violates a woman’s dignity and interferes with her ability to operate freely at work and study. Harassment would also include gender based discriminatory behaviour. The cell has been constituted to meet the following objectives:

• • To develop the guidelines and norms for a policy against sexual harassment.
• • To develop principles and procedures for combating sexual harassment.
• • To prepare a detailed plan of action, both short and long term
